Sunny Nelson first started in 2018 when our founder Josh first discovered a boysenberry farm near his Grandad’s place in – you guessed it – Nelson. Inspiration struck to bring the berries back to his hometown Kirikiriroa Hamilton, to whip up some of everyone’s favourite real fruit ice cream.

A few years on, we’re not just creating flavours from Nelson-grown berries, but choosing the best fruits and berries grown up and down Aotearoa.

We aim to bring our Hamilton Sunny Nelson community an experience like no other real fruit ice cream store – from seasonal fruits to our own unique ice cream flavours, lawn games, mini putt, our ‘sister company’ Lykke Cafe, to offering a real fruit ice cream tricycle for local events.
